The “Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network” is a two-way police radio channel monitored and controlled by Illinois State Police that all law enforcement agencies in Illinois have access to, to facilitate better communication in emergencies
Each day, anywhere from a few to dozens of alerts are broadcast in Chicagoland alone.
Some of the calls reported include carjackings & auto-theft, fleeing & eluding, pursuits, wanted or missing person alerts, unlawful use of weapon incidents, and citizen reports of reckless, drunk, or wrong-way drivers – among many others
Here, we report the most significant calls heard by our team in Chicagoland. Not all call summaries will indicate a final resolution, and may have been concluded nonetheless on a different channel without updating ISPERN.

12:35a CDT – Chicago
A task force member reported an LPR hit for a green 2009 Chevrolet Malibu that was carjacked in the last hour. The vehicle’s initial location was southbound on the Ryan from 71st. The occupants were reported to be armed.
For the next few hours, the vehicle was tracked up and down the Ryan until the final call around 5:00a southbound at 71st
1:10a CDT – Cicero
Cicero Police reported an armed robbery in the 1900 block of 50th Court. Police were searching for four male offenders, of which two were armed with handguns and one was wearing white ski mask. They were last seen southbound on 50th Court
1:10a CDT – Schaumburg
Schaumburg Police reported a gray 2018 Jeep SUV registered out of Prospect Heights fled an officer from Golf & Meechum Roads. The driver was described as a white man in his 30s, with a possible known identity. He was last seen northbound (westbound?) on I-290 from Woodfield Road
5:00a CDT – Harwood Heights
Harwood Heights Police reported a gray 2018 Toyota Rav4 fled an officer from Harlem & Leeland
8:15a CDT – Chicago
A task force member reported an LPR hit for a fresh carjacking on eastbound I-290 at Lavergne. A gray 2012 Infiniti M37 was originally called out, but officers reported a few minutes later that the plates appeared to have been swapped to a red Nissan Altima
11:05a CDT – Maywood
A State Trooper reported a silver 2024 Ford pickup registered out of Streamwood fled a stop eastbound on I-290 from 9th Avenue
12:05p CDT – Darien
An alert was broadcast for a missing 14yo. The teenager was located about an hour or so later in Westmont
1:55p CDT – Matteson
A caller reported a possible domestic battery on southbound I-57 at Sauk Trail. The caller stated that the man driving them out to University Park was threatening her. Troopers located the vehicle near Stuenkel Road, and while waiting for backup to arrive, the vehicle exited and backtracked northbound. Troopers stopped the Nissan Rogue (whose plates appeared to be registered to a black Cadillac) just north of Stuenkel and cleared ISPERN shortly after without further updates
3:35p CDT – Lansing
A caller reported she was in a gold Infiniti and wanted to get out but her male driver would not let her. Vehicle location was last reported westbound I-80 west of Torrence
4:40p CDT – Riverdale
Riverdale Police reported a red Dodge Ram with chrome step bars and Indiana plates fled an officer from 138th and Halsted. The truck was occupied two times and was last seen northbound on Ashland from Vermont
7:55p CDT – Lynwood
Lynwood Police reported a gray BMW was carjacked at Stony Island and Joe Orr Road. Two chase vehicles, a white Dodge Ram with a white male driver and a gray sedan with a black male driver were last seen northbound on Stony Island approaching Lincoln Highway. A weapon was inferred but not displayed
9:15p CDT – Chicago
Chicago Police reported a hit and run with property damage. A red Jeep with Rhode Island plates was last seen northbound on the Ryan from 87th Street
9:35p CDT – Riverdale
Riverdale Police reported a black 2016 Chrysler 200 registered out of Chicago fled an officer. The vehicle was occupied two times and was last seen northbound Ashland from 127th Street
10:50p CDT – Chicago
A trooper reported a white 2013 Nissan Sentra registered out of Chicago fled a stop northbound on the Ryan from 47th Street. The driver was described as a black man wearing a white t-shirt with long dreadlocks. Vehicle was last seen northbound on the Ryan from 47th Street
10:55p CDT – Chicago
An alert was broadcast for a possible unlawful use of weapon by the driver of a black 2017 Hyundai sedan registered out of Forest Park. The vehicle was last seen eastbound on I-290 from Racine
11:10p CDT – Oak Forest
Oak Forest Police reported an orange Dodge Charger with heavy tints fled an officer at 167th and Cicero. Vehicle was last seen southbound Cicero Avenue from 183rd Street
11:20p CDT – Chicago (Munster/Lake County)
Munster Police or the Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported they were in pursuit of a silver Jeep SUV with dealer plates westbound on I-94. The vehicle was wanted for traffic violations. The pursuit was terminated shortly after the first call and the vehicle was last seen northbound at 115th
