The “Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network” is a two-way police radio channel monitored and controlled by Illinois State Police that all law enforcement agencies in Illinois have access to, to facilitate better communication in emergencies
Each day, anywhere from a few to dozens of alerts are broadcast in Chicagoland alone.
Some of the calls reported include carjackings & auto-theft, fleeing & eluding, pursuits, wanted or missing person alerts, unlawful use of weapon incidents, and citizen reports of reckless, drunk, or wrong-way drivers – among many others
Here, we report the most significant calls heard by our team in Chicagoland. Not all call summaries will indicate a final resolution, and may have been concluded nonetheless on a different channel without updating ISPERN.

2:20a CDT – Midlothian
Midlothian Police reported a sighting of a stolen vehicle at 147th & Kedzie. Vehicle was last seen southbound on I-57 from 147th Street
2:30a CDT – Melrose Park
Melrose Park Police reported a black 2023 Tesla SUV registered out of Skokie fled an officer from Lake & Mannheim. Vehicle was last seen at 25th & Edison (sp?)
7:35a CDT – Tinley Park
Tinley Park Police reported a silver 2014 Chrysler 200 with expired Indiana temp plates fled an officer and was last seen southbound on Oak Forest Avenue from 167th Street
12:45p CDT – Norridge
Norridge Police reported a black Ford Focus was stolen in the 4800 block of Lawrence. The suspects and a black Ford Edge chase vehicle were last seen eastbound on Lawrence
1:05p CDT – River Grove
River Grove Police reported a blue Jaguar with expired and suspended truck plates registered to a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck registered out of Wilmington fled an officer. Vehicle was last seen southbound on Thatcher from North Avenue
2:55p CDT – Naperville
Naperville Police reported a dark gray Chevrolet Traverse with tints registered out of Berwyn fled an officer. Vehicle was last seen northbound on Route 59
7:10p CDT – Chicago
A task force member reported an LPR hit for a silver Hyundai stolen out of Chicago on the southbound Ryan at 51st Street. The vehicle has been involved in at least three armed robberies. The police helicopter responded to the area, but nothing further was reported on ISPERN
9:20p CDT – Darien
A caller reported a possible domestic disturbance southbound on I-55 at Cass. A hispanic man and woman were fighting in a green Jeep
9:40p CDT – Riverdale
Riverdale Police reported a stolen white Chevrolet Traverse with Texas plates fled an officer from 138th & Atlantic. The driver was described as a black man with long dreadlocks and the passenger as a black man. Vehicle was last seen northbound on Halsted from 134th
10:00p CDT – Harvey
Harvey Police reported a gray 2003 Toyota sedan was carjacked in the area of 148th Street. The suspects were described as four black men and at least one of them hand a gun. The vehicle was last seen southbound on Dixie Highway
Around 10:35p, a state trooper and a Riverdale unit spotted the vehicle at 146th and Clark and began following until other officers responded to the area. With the police helicopter en route, the vehicle was followed (possibly pursued, but unconfirmed) northbound on Michigan toward 144th. The vehicle was reported stopped near 140th & Edbrooke where the suspects attempted to flee.
Two were taken into custody as reported by a Dolton officer while two remained at large in the area of 140th of Edbrooke Avenue. The police helicopter arrived and guided ground units toward areas of interest, but no conclusion or further update was broadcast on ISPERN. Officers cleared ISPERN at 11:05p
